*Edited on July 2012: Shifted to Bulkhaul House (67 Beach Road 189688)*
This is my 3rd visit to Supreme Pork Chop Rice.
This is my 3rd visit to Supreme Pork Chop Rice.
Supreme Pork Chop Rice has a long history. They used to be located at Shaw Towers Food Court before locating to Bras Brasah Complex Food Court. After that they moved again, this time having their own shop at Middle Road, diagonally opposite Shaw Tower. Each time they moved, they did not inform their customers. But their customers took the effort to traced them down (through forums online) to the new location each time they moved. With such loyal fans, one can't help but feel that their food must have been very delicious.
Location of the shop |
Supreme Pork Chop Rice is located along Middle Road. It is diagonally opposite Shaw Towers and beside Great Eastern House. It can be spotted by its bright red signboard. In addition, outside the shop, you can spot the endorsements by television programmes, magazines and newspapers.

Trying this for a third time, I thought that it was just average. The pork chop was hard as if it was fried a second time to keep it warm. Thin layer of batter that was topped with black pepper. Maybe it is the value for money factor that keeps customers coming back as this shop is located near Bugis and City Hall area.

Yes, 3rd visit! Blogged about this place twice in my previous blog (wordpress)
DeleteNot sure if my earlier comment went thru :<
ReplyDeleteLove pork chops, be it Chinese or Western style. I want them all!
Hi,
Deletenope, this is your first for this post.
for me, pork / chicken chop both also can haha! As long as not soggy, overly oily can le!
The pork chop looks small...dun think it worth 3.50 also. I know a shop selling laksi lemak for $2.20 with a chicken wing, an egg, ikan billis and peanuts with 2 slice of cucumber. And the rice is more den the one in ur pic.
ReplyDeleteHi Kelvin
DeleteFor the pork chop, it is quite value for money for such a dish. In addition, this is at bugis area. There are much more expensive pork chops around here.
where is this shop selling $2.20 nasi lemak at?
Tampines. Blk 201 i think. There is 3 hawker centers at one area if i remembered correctly.
DeleteHeard they will be moving again due to the increased rental.
ReplyDeleteIs it? I have not past by the area for 2 months. Will keep a look out and see if it's still there
Deletethey will move to new location next month, at opposite building.
ReplyDeleteHi
Deletethanks for the update. Are they still open?
Any idea which building it is?
For fans of Supreme PCR, please note that they are going to move again. From their shop at Middle Road near the junction of Beach Road, they will be moving to the commercial building directly opposite their shop. The building is named Bulkhall Building and they will be located at the basement.
ReplyDeleteThanks for update. Have they moved? or any idea when they moving?
DeleteThey have moved when I bypassed last week. Old store was under renovation.
DeleteHi Shan
DeleteThanks for sharing! useful knowledge for everyone out here.
Have a great weekend ahead.
Moved and reopened on Monday 16th July 2012 at Bulkhaul building.
ReplyDeleteBesides the usual pork chop rice, there is a kopi stall and a soup stall too.
Hi Steve
DeleteThanks for update! That is just across the road.
Seems to have a quality drop compare to 1-2 months back.
ReplyDeleteThe pork chop, meat got thinner and replaced by thick layer of flour, and the flour is like not cook well and sticky, no longer nice and crispy.
When it was still at middle road, I thought that it was just average. Now that you say that standard has drop. I think there is no point in me making a special trip down to try this again (to verify that its average).
DeleteI will go only if I pass by the area then.
thanks!
