Ban Mee (Coleman Street Food Centre)

I was wondering around Peninsula Shopping Centre when I chanced upon Coleman Street Food Centre.

If you noticed the above picture. It looks like this is a new food centre as previously, this place was called Choon Sheng Seafood Kitchen.

Coleman Street Food Centre is brightly lit and clean. Tables arranged in rows to maximise the capacity. Looks new. There was still a few empty stalls available for rent.

I decided to buy homemade noodles from the Ban Mee stall.

You Mian $3.00

At $3.00 the You Mian is quite value for money as most outlets sell this at a much higher price. The lowest I have came across so far is $2.80. This is a decent bowl of You Mian (Ban Mian). The broth was tasty, not salty. Each strand of noodle was well separated and flavourful. Moreover, generous portion of vegetables and minced meat was given. 

If you are working in the area looking for cheap food, this is a value for money alternative.

This is what I call Customer Service (Food Hotel Asia 2012)

Remember what I wrote in my previous post on Food Hotel Asia 2012 last week?

'The show attracted such a huge crowd that there was a traffic jam into expo. Moreover, I had to queue 1 hour just to get my pass even though I had pre-registered. Still it was well worth the wait!'

Well, I received an email from the organisers of Food Hotel Asia 2012 yesterday. (please note that this email was sent to all visitors who attended the trade show on the first day. It was not sent because of my blog post)

This is great customer service; the little things that can make a difference! I am impressive. Glad to know that they realised the problem, admit it and will improve on it on their own accord all within 2 weeks after the event. Kudos to FHA!
